Hello hoomans, my name is Clara!

I am a beautiful 2-year-old Pointer girl currently looking for my forever family from afar in Aydin, Turkey. If you’re looking for a companion who is affectionate, loyal, and full of energy, then look no further!

I am a true Pointer, both in looks and personality. I am sweet, sensitive, and I love life, but what I love most of all is you! I can’t get enough cuddles, and if you happen to be busy, that’s okay: I’ll come and get the attention myself. I love to sit down and truly enjoy every moment of affection – I’ll be your loyal shadow and best snuggle buddy.

A Sensitive Soul with a Hunter’s Nose

My nose is my superpower! I love to explore, and when we are out walking, I stick my nose in the air, sniff a few times, and then my inner hunter decides where we are going next. I walk well on a lead, but because I love to follow my nose so much, my new family will need to be careful when walking me off lead as my prey drive sometimes takes over.

I am very social and friendly. I love all dogs and fit in well with the group at the shelter, though I tend to be a little submissive. I adore people and greet every visitor to the shelter with a warm, enthusiastic welcome. I don’t leave anyone out.. I ma just that kind of sweet gal…

What I Need to Thrive

I am a very sensitive girl and I don’t cope well with stress or chaos. If I feel too much noise or drama, I can become a little overwhelmed and frightened. You can always tell my mood: if I’m a little stressed, I might be cautious towards new people at first. I am also very submissive, and if I think you’re cross with me, I immediately cower.

My biggest needs are simple: a quiet, stable home with calm, patient adopters who can help me feel completely safe. When I feel secure, my bright, enthusiastic personality shines through, like big time … shiny! When some of the volunteers took me out to a café, I was nervous and clung to them, so I need someone who can patiently guide me and show me the big, wide world is a safe place.

A few important notes on my forever family:

• Cats are a no-go.  They are not my friends, and they most probably never will be, sorry just not feline it… sorry couldn’t help that :)!

• I would prefer a home that is calm and predictable while I settle in.
