Pointers are a high-energy breed and typically require a minimum of 60-90 minutes of vigorous daily exercise, including off-lead running and dedicated mental stimulation. The Adopter fully understands and accepts that integrating a rescue dog demands a significant investment of patience, understanding, time, and active commitment. The settling process requires work and dedication from the Adopter and will not be instantaneous.

We are here to help you every step of the way. We understand that this can seem like a daunting challenge, however with time and effort it can be one of the most rewarding experiences that you may ever do in your life. We will of course be totally committed to providing support throughout the process. As part of this, we will provide a support package containing essential reference links to our website, recommended training resources, and helpful visual aids, such as YouTube videos.

To ensure the dog is given a fair chance, the Adopter agrees to a mandatory, non-negotiable minimum settling period of three (3) weeks from the date of adoption. During this initial three-week period, the Adopter commits to actively working through any challenges that may arise and utilising the support resources provided. Requests for the dog’s return or placement in an alternative home will only be considered after the completion of this three-week minimum period, at which time we will work together to find the most suitable long-term solution. The three-week minimum period will only be reconsidered in exceptional circumstances where Pointer Rescue Service deems immediate rehoming necessary./p>
