Phil “The Dog Guru” Hammond

Dog Trainer, Rescue Expert & Founder of Hammond’s Hounds Dog Training

ABTC Registered | Online Sessions Available

If you’ve got a rescue dog needing a gentle guide into home life, Phil’s your guy. With the calm energy of a Zen master and the instincts of a seasoned canine translator, Phil is the beating heart (and wagging tail) of Hammond’s Hounds.

Since 2016, Phil has been working with the UK’s largest dog welfare organisation, where he continues to share his wisdom by training rescue centre staff in all things dog behaviour. Hundreds of dogs and their humans have already benefited from his down-to-earth, compassionate approach. He has now joined us too and is offering online training sessions and consultations at a discount for The Pointer Rescue Service.

An expert in dog rescue transitions (especially foreign rescue dogs), Phil knows how to build trust and create a sense of security for even the most unsure pups. Whether you’re navigating early days with a new four-legged friend or dealing with behaviour that’s got you scratching your head, Phil’s got the skills and expertise to help.

Phil is based in North Devon so face-to-face sessions can be arranged if you are local.

Can’t meet in person? No problem — Phil also offers online sessions, bringing calm, clarity, and canine know-how straight to your screen.

We are so chuffed that he has joined us and he offers training sessions and consultations at a discount for The Pointer Rescue Service.
