Hello… my name is Jack, and I really need a hero this week.

I am a 6-year-old English Pointer mix with big velvety ears, long elegant legs, and a heart I’m just *aching* to share with someone. I’ve had a rocky start in life… I was abandoned on the streets of Turkey, all alone and very scared. But then some wonderful humans brought me to the UK and showed me that love exists.  I have been here for over two and a half years.

Now I’m looking for someone special — someone who can help me feel safe again because my home circumstances have changed, someone I can give all my love to. I’m trying my best to be brave, but I need a real-life guardian angel *this week* because I have to move, and I’m frightened of being left by myself.

❤️ A Sensitive Soul Who Just Wants to Belong

Because I was abandoned once, I worry a lot about being left behind again. I don’t mean to — my heart just feels a little cracked. I’m happiest when I can follow you around, lie near your feet, or curl up on the sofa beside you in the evenings.

I don’t want much. Just to be *with* you. To know you’re there. To know I matter to someone.

I would love a peaceful, rural home with fields or a big secure garden where I can sniff all the lovely countryside smells. I feel safer when I have space and freedom, not when I’m shut indoors. I’m a bit of an escape artist if left alone — not because I want to be naughty, but because I panic when I think I’ve been forgotten.

I’d love to sleep at the end of your bed, and have a cosy portable bed to carry around the house so I can settle wherever you are.

Everyone says I’m:

* affectionate
* friendly
* and really quite special

I’m great with other dogs, good with cats, and brilliant around horses, sheep, cows — I’ve even lived with a parrot (though he does pick on me sometimes).

I’m confident with people, I’m not bothered by traffic, and I’m happiest exploring nature or snuggling on the sofa with my favourite hooman. My heart is huge. I just need someone to help it heal.
