Hello hooman… it’s me, Bertie! 🐾

Yes, the Bertie – one-year-old heart-melter, snuggle-seeker, tail-wagger extraordinaire… and possibly, your new best friend. 💕

Let me tell you a teeny tale about me. It starts in a ditch in Cyprus… not the best beginning, I know. I was barely clinging to life – just 12kg of bones, sadness, and a whole lot of fear. My eyes were empty, my spirit was shattered, and I truly thought that was the end of my little story.  A proper ‘ruff’ start!

But then… she came. An angel in human form – Alix. She scooped me up from that ditch and wrapped me in warmth, safety, and something I didn’t quite recognise at first… love. She gave me a haven. She gave me a chance.

Fast forward to now (April, if you’re checking your calendars), and guess what? I’m a healthy 19kg of gentle goofball! I’ve had some TLC, a bit of vet help for my cherry eye (I’m healing like a champ), and I’ve discovered something I never knew before – not all hoomans are scary. Some are magical and beautiful.

I’m a softie through and through. My heart is stitched together with hope now, and all I want is someone to share it with. I’m gentle with kitties (yes, really – I think they’re fancy little creatures!), and I love other dogs too. We play, sniff, do zoomies… all the good stuff.

Personality-wise? Think soulful eyes, velvety ears, and a slightly dopey smile. I’ll follow you around like a shadow that wags. I’m part cuddle therapist, part walking buddy, and part biscuit enthusiast.

I’m arriving in the UK on May 16th, and I’m dreaming of my forever sofa, my forever garden, my forever hooman… Could that be you?

If you’ve got a bit of patience, a lot of love, and maybe a blanket we can share – I promise to give you all the love in my (now much fuller) heart. I’m Bertie. I was broken, but now I’m blooming. All I need is you. 🐶💛
