Today we honour the beautiful soul of our beloved rescue boy, *Deku*.
With Tracey, he discovered warmth, safety and the kind of steady devotion every rescue dog deserves. She made sure he felt protected from his very first day, wrapping him in reassurance, kindness and those famously wonderful cuddles that became his favourite place to be.
He formed the most extraordinary bond with his sister Maisy, a brave tripod rescue dog herself — a connection so deep and instinctive it was impossible to miss. They were two hearts in step with one another. Alongside the lovely Ivy, Baxter and Frank — all rescues, all souls who understood — Deku found not just companions, but family. Together they shared joyful adventures, playful moments, quiet companionship and the simple happiness of belonging.
He knew what it meant to run free without fear.
He knew what it meant to rest without worry.
He knew what it meant to be chosen.
Though his time was heartbreakingly short due to tragic circumstances that came far too soon, what matters most is this: *Deku knew real love.* He knew safety. He knew kindness. He knew what it felt like to be someone’s precious boy.
And that changes everything.
We also want to send the most heartfelt thank you to every single one of our incredible supporters who stepped forward to help when Deku was missing. To those who shared his posts, offered practical advice and help, messaged, and reached out to others that they thought could offer help more locally, and held hope with us — your compassion meant more than words can ever say. In moments of fear and uncertainty, you stood beside us and beside Tracey. That kindness will never be forgotten.
If you are able, any messages of love and support for Tracey would be so deeply appreciated at this unbearably sad time. She gave Deku the safest, happiest chapter of his life, and right now she needs the same kindness she so freely gives to others.
We are endlessly grateful to Tracey and to his wonderful rescue pack for transforming his world so completely. Because of your beautiful pack Tracey, his story is not one of loss — it is one of love redeemed. A rescue life that was given the chance to bloom. A little soul who left this world having known comfort, joy and belonging.
Deku will never be forgotten.
His paw prints are forever pressed into the hearts of those who loved him.
Run free, sweet boy. You were cherished beyond measure.🌈✨
