Hello, my name is Archie 🐾

I may have a few grey hairs now, but don’t let that fool you—I still have the heart of a playful pup. I came home to my family when I was just 12 weeks old, and since then I’ve been their loyal shadow, their snuggle buddy, and their best friend.

When I was younger, I loved agility, flyball, and training with the HPR group. Even now, one of my favourite things is hunting for a training dummy in the long grass—it makes me feel like a pup again. I’ve always been a bit of a clown, curling myself into the tiniest ball on someone’s lap (even though at 26kg I’m not exactly a lap dog!).

Life with my family has been wonderful. In our first home, I’d sneak upstairs and curl up on the bed, or sprawl across the sofa on top of them in the evenings. These days, I’ve got my very own wingback chair in the kitchen, which I love—it’s my throne where I can snooze happily.

I love adventures: canal walks where I can splash into the water after ducks, fields full of exciting smells, or just a sunny spot in the garden where I can stretch out and sunbathe. Walks do tire me more than they used to, but afterwards I settle into a good, long nap.

I have a cheeky side too. Carrots are my absolute favourite treat—I’ll race over when I hear the bag coming out of the fridge, and I prefer to take mine outside to eat (otherwise there’ll be crunchy orange confetti everywhere!). I also enjoy peas, green veg, and even eggshells. I’m not allowed human food, but I’m an expert at spotting dropped crumbs from the little humans, and sometimes I can’t resist testing my long legs on the countertops.

Even with my years, I can still bounce around like a two-year-old. Every morning I wait at the kitchen door, tail wagging, ready to greet the first person awake with spins and wiggles. I love toys, I love cuddles, and if you sit on the floor, don’t be surprised if I climb into your lap or try to wrestle with you.

I’ve been told I can’t travel abroad with my family—it makes me sad because I’ll miss them so much. But they’ve explained it’s because they love me too much to put me through such a big change at my age. What I really need now is a calm, stable home where I can feel safe, snooze in the sunshine, and still enjoy plenty of walks and garden space to explore.

I promise I’ll give you love, laughter, and loyalty every single day. I’m Archie—and I can’t wait to find the family who will love me for the rest of my days. ❤️
