💙 Boby’s Story: From Solitude to the Sofa

My life hasn’t always been easy. For two and a half long years, I lived alone on a plot of land in Murcia after my original owner passed away. I managed my own needs in solitude without shelter or a family, surviving only because kind neighbours made sure I had food.

But look at me now! I’ve been in my UK foster home for six months, and my foster dad Stephen says it’s like I’ve entered my “second childhood.” I might be a mature gentleman on paper, but when I’m blitzing through the garden or playing with my foster brothers, I feel like a puppy again. I’m young at heart, full of life, energy, and a brand-new curiosity for toys and play!

✨ The Real Me: Life in Foster Care

I am currently living with the “Pointer Whisperer” Stephen and the Banjo Squad (Cooper, Indy, and Harry) in the UK, where I’ve been learning how to be a pampered house pet:

  • A “Puppy” at Heart: I have officially discovered zoomies and goofy dance moves! I’m like a kid in a sweet shop full of energy and totally wired for fun. I’m a star at ball games now, and I’ve learned to bring the ball right back to you.

  • The Master of Comfort & Manners: I have a PhD in blanket-snuggling, sleeping under the duvet, and lying in until 9 am. Plus, I have top-notch house etiquette you can leave me alone in the house and come home to a clean, tidy room with zero mess or destruction.

  • Communicative & Expressive: I don’t bark much at all, but I have a wonderful vocabulary of cute squeaks and expressive head movements to let you know what I’m thinking!

  • Social & Gentle in the Pack: I’ve accepted the pack dynamic beautifully without a single spot of aggression. Because I lived alone for so long, I do prefer gentle introductions with unfamiliar dogs so I feel safe.

  • Smart & Eager: I respond beautifully to my name, learn routines quickly, and my recall on a long lead or in secure fields is coming along well (especially when my beeper promises treats!).

🏡 What I Need in My Forever Home

I’ve spent enough time on my own; I’m looking for a loving home where I can get the focused, one-on-one guidance I deserve.

  • Thoughtful Dog Introductions: Because I lived alone for so long without a pack to protect me, I can feel a bit defensive if strange dogs rush up to me unexpectedly (I worry about my food or personal safety!).

  • Pointer Experience & Gentle Guidance: I walk nicely on a long lead and harness without pulling hard, though my “Bird Dog” instincts mean I get very excited by birds and wildlife. I’d thrive with a family who understands Pointers and can give me patient, focused guidance as I learn the rules.

  • A Carefully Managed Menu: I burn a lot of calories running around, so my foster dad feeds me four or five smaller meals a day to help my tummy digest properly. My current winning menu is raw tripe mince, mushed veggies, CSJ 21 kibble, and salmon oil and I’m putting on healthy weight and building muscle steadily!

  • Mealtime Manners: I have my own special slow-feeder bowl. I’m a perfect gentleman with my humans, but because of my past, I prefer to eat my dinner peacefully in my own space.

  • A Secure Space: I love entertaining myself and can clock up a mile a day just exploring! I need a home with a good, interesting, and secure garden where I can safely burn off my energy.

I promise to be the most loyal, affectionate, and entertaining companion you could ever ask for. After a lifetime of waiting, are you the one to give me my “happy ever after”?

Love and gentle Pointer nudges,

Boby x

Important Information

Healthy & Fully Vetted: Boby has undergone a comprehensive veterinary health assessment, including clear blood tests for the four main Mediterranean diseases, X-rays, ultrasound, and full bloodwork (showing only minor anaemia typical for a rescue building back his strength).

Gut Health & Digestion: Because Boby spent years on his own without proper nutrition, his digestive system is sensitive and needs a little extra care to absorb nutrients effectively. His foster dad has him on a tailored digestion-friendly plan—four or five smaller meals a day consisting of raw tripe mince, mushed vegetables, CSJ 21 kibble, and salmon oil—which is helping his gut rehabilitate. He is digesting his food much better now, putting on healthy weight, and building muscle steadily!

Boby is neutered and fully ready to move to his forever home.
