Could you be the happy ending to my story?

Hello there!  My name is Tommy, and I’m a young Pointer-cross boy with a big heart, a wagging tail and SO much love to give!

I’m hoping that somewhere out there is a very special human who might just be looking for a best friend like me. Someone kind, someone gentle, someone who will let me play with my toys, enjoy lovely walks, make new memories and, most importantly, feel safe enough to know that I’m finally home.

You see, my story didn’t start quite as happily as I would have liked.

💔 My life began on the scary streets of Istanbul

When I was still a young boy, I found myself all alone on the streets of Istanbul, Türkiye. Now, I know Istanbul is a beautiful city that lots of people dream of visiting, but for little street dogs like me, life can be a very different story.

Behind the beautiful sights and bustling streets, many dogs face cruelty, neglect, hunger and the constant struggle to find food, shelter and somewhere safe to sleep. The streets can be frightening, and there isn’t always a kind person around to help when you need one most.

I was just a young dog trying to find my way in a very big, scary world. 💔

And sadly, the future for street dogs across Türkiye has become even more uncertain.

Following changes to Türkiye’s animal welfare legislation, municipalities are under pressure to collect street dogs and place them in shelters. The risk of mass culling has raised serious concerns among animal welfare advocates, and municipalities that fail to comply with the new requirements can face financial penalties.

For vulnerable dogs like me, this creates an even more frightening future. Dogs who have already endured abandonment and hardship are at risk of losing the little safety they may have found, with serious concerns about what could happen to those who cannot secure protection.

Our Adoption Coordinator understands these realities only too well. She lived in Türkiye for more than sixteen years and spent eleven years living and working in Istanbul. She knows that, while the city may be beautiful for tourists, life for a homeless dog can be incredibly harsh and cruel.

For dogs like me, rescue isn’t simply about finding a home. It can mean the difference between life in safety or things that are cruelly unthinkable…

🐾 Thankfully, somebody gave me a chance!

Somewhere along the way, somebody saw me and decided that I deserved better. I was rescued and taken into foster care, where I’ve been able to experience kindness and discover that the world isn’t always such a frightening place.

For the first time, I’ve had the chance to enjoy some of the simple things every young dog should know: companionship, playtime and the comfort of being somewhere safe.

But my foster family can only care for me for a limited time, and now my friends are desperately hoping to find me a loving home before my time with them runs out.

That’s where my friends at The Pointer Rescue Service (PRS) have stepped in to help me find my happily ever after. ❤️

They’ve been asked to help find the loving home I deserve, and now I’m hoping my next chapter will be the one I’ve been waiting for all along.

Enough about the scary stuff… let me tell you about ME!

I’m a super-friendly, playful and energetic young Pointer-cross boy who thinks life is much better when you have somebody to share it with!

If you’re looking for a playmate, I think we could have hours of fun together. A toy, a game and someone to enjoy them with? Sounds like a pretty perfect day to me!

I LOVE PEOPLE!

I’m an affectionate boy who enjoys human company and would love to build a special bond with my very own family. I have so much love to give, and I can’t wait to share it with the people who will become my world.

I LOVE OTHER DOGS!

I’m a sociable chap who enjoys canine company, so I’d be delighted to make some new four-legged friends.

I’M FULL OF LIFE!

I’ve got all the fun, enthusiasm and zest for life you’d expect from a young Pointer cross. I’m ready to learn, explore and discover all the wonderful things that being a much-loved family dog can bring.

Of course, I’ll need a family who understands that young dogs need time, patience, training, exercise and plenty of positive encouragement. I’d love people who will help me grow into the very best version of myself, while remembering that I’ve already had quite a big adventure for such a young boy.

What I’m dreaming of…

I don’t need a mansion, a fancy bed or a cupboard full of toys (although I wouldn’t say no to those toys! ).

What I really need is a safe place to sleep, kind hands to stroke me, people who will teach me about the world, and a family who will never make me feel unwanted again.

I dream of waking up each morning knowing that I’m safe. Of having my own garden to explore, lovely walks to look forward to, toys scattered around the house and someone to cuddle up with at the end of a busy day.

Most of all, I dream of belonging.

I’d love a family who will see beyond my difficult beginning and recognise the happy, affectionate, playful boy I am today. A family who will give me the time to settle in, help me build my confidence and show me that love doesn’t have to disappear.

Here’s some lovely news… my documents are ready, my little suitcase is packed, and I’m waiting for someone to give me the chance I’ve been dreaming of!

Imagine being the person who turns my frightening beginning into a beautiful future. The one who gives me my very own sofa, my favourite toys, lovely walks, happy adventures and a lifetime of unconditional love.

I’ve already survived being abandoned. I’ve been given a second chance through rescue. Now, I would really love to discover what it feels like to belong.

I have been given the chance to survive. Now I need the chance to live. ❤️🐾
