I’m Bristle Chops: The Smart, Wiry-Bearded Play Queen!

Hi, my name is Bristle Chops, and yes, I was named for my beautiful little wiry beard! My friends at Galgos de Sol (GDS) in Murcia, Spain, think I might be a wonderful Wire Haired Pointer or Griffon mix! I’m currently being spoiled rotten by the amazing GDS team, thanks to my saving grace, Tina! GDS usually focuses on my Galgo pals, who also have a tough time here, but they kindly opened their hearts to me, and I’m so thankful!

I’m an energetic 18-month-old girl with the most adorable little face and eyes that just say, “Please adopt me!” My bags are packed, and I’m ready to find a forever family that can keep up with my clever ways!

A Pup Who Loves to Play! 🤩

I may only be about 1.5 years old, but I’m super smart and love to learn. I’m still a puppy at heart and thrive when I’m busy!

• Brainy Biscuit Queen: I’m very smart and love learning new things! I’ll happily do a little sit for a biscuit. The GDS team has been trying me with agility, and I’m picking it up really well—though I’m still trying to figure out what those big tyres are for!

• Zoomie Champion: If you need a laugh, I’m your girl! I love doing zoomies (they make me so happy!), and playing with my toys is the best.

• Doggy Delight: I get along fine with all the other dogs here. If you have a resident canine, I’m ready to be their companion and playmate.

• Hoomans are the Best: I seem to love everyone I meet! I’m very sweet and will be a loyal, loving shadow for my new family. I think I’d be good with kids, too—I’m still a big puppy!

The team says I’m a bit funny, and I promise to bring endless joy and laughter into your home!

My Journey to You 🐾

I arrived with GDS about two weeks ago. I think I might have been locked up for a while even before I ended up at the pound, which is why I’m already showing some repetitive behaviours in the kennel. I’m a sensitive girl, and staying in kennels for too long would be a struggle for me. The GDS team says that because of my past, I’m still working on my confidence and understanding the big, wide world, but I’m super responsive to their training and eager to start fresh!

I’m fairly good on the lead, but I keep my nose to the ground a lot – I’m a girl on a mission!

What I Need to Be Happy 🏡

I’m ready to leave my past behind and focus on a happy future. What I need most is space to run around and do my thing!

• Room to Roam: I need a garden and the freedom to go in and out at my leisure—a flat or apartment wouldn’t be ideal for me. A rural or semi-rural setting would be perfect!

• Time and Training: I need an adopter who is willing to put in the time and patience for training. I’m only a pup who hasn’t had much consistent attention in my short life, but I’m smart and eager to learn!

• Love and Connection: I’m looking for a family that will include me in their daily life and shower me with the affection I deserve.
