Hi, my name is Dino… and this is my story.

I don’t remember much about those dark days. I just remember the hunger, the weakness, and how very cold and lonely I felt. My little body was shutting down, and I thought maybe this was the end for me until the moment that an angel named Kayte found me. She thought I had already slipped away… I was so skeletal she thought there is no way I could still be breathing but I had just a few left in me.  The PRS were quite shocked when they were shown my pictures.  That moment …when Katye looked closer, she saw the tiniest flicker of life still inside me. She didn’t give up. She scooped me up in her arms and rushed me to the hospital.

I don’t know how the doctors and nurses worked their magic, but together with Kayte’s love, they gave me something I thought I’d lost forever—a chance. Day by day, I got a little stronger. I had to stay in intensive care for weeks, but slowly I managed to walk a little and then a little bit more, my ribs stopped showing so much, my legs grew steadier, and my tail even remembered how to wag again.  Then with all the love and support … I started to RUN!  It was amazing!

Kayte gave me my name: Dino. She told me it means strong, brave, a little warrior. I like that. Because even though I was broken, I never gave up on love.

Here’s the funny thing about me—after all that hurt, after being left to die—I still adore people. I still believe the best in them. I give kisses like they’re the most precious gift I have, because they are. Every wag of my tail, every cuddle, every sloppy smooch is my way of saying: “Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for my second chance.”

Now, I’m ready to find my forever family. Someone who will never let me go hungry again. Someone who will see not the scars of my past, but the joy of my future.

Because my specialty? Well… it’s kisses. Lots and lots of kisses. And I’ve been saving them just for you. 💛
