I’m a sensitive soul who has been on a rocky road, and I’m now facing another change. It breaks my heart, but my current family knows I deserve a home where I can finally put my paws up and feel truly safe and settled forever.

I’ve spent the last few years trying my best to fit into a busy, lively family home, and I’ve tried to be a good boy! But I carry emotional scars from my past, and when things get chaotic, noisy, or when emotions run high, I just can’t cope. It makes me anxious, I’m getting overwhelmed!

The Calm Dog Within

Please don’t think I’m always frantic! My current family has noticed something very interesting about me: I thrive and relax when there’s a house full of people. When everyone is calm and engaged, I can melt into a deep sleep right in the middle of a big family gathering! It seems I love human company, but it’s the unpredictable noise and high-arousal moments that trigger my deeply held anxiety.

My family has bravely admitted they are running out of ways to protect me from the overwhelm, as their home has recently become more challenging due to complex health needs. It means I need a very special person and a place that can offer me the quieter, calmer, and more structured environment I need to truly thrive.

My journey has had its setbacks, and what I need now is a guiding hand to help me leave my past behind. I’m looking for a true Experienced Adopter – someone with a patient heart, prior experience in settling a rescue dog, and a deep understanding of emotional resilience.

I need a home where I can feel that this is my furever home with lovely understanding hoomans. You must be someone who can give 100% of their commitment to helping me learn to trust and know that I am safe and secure for the rest of my days. I need stability, boundaries, gentle guidance, and endless love.

I promise that if you give me the quiet, stable environment I need, I will reward you with a loving, engaging, and deeply loyal companion who can finally show you the wonderfully calm dog I truly am. And on a lighter note, if I ever manage to find a dropped sock, I may just turn into the cutest, wiggliest little sock thief you’ve ever seen!
