🐾 Hello, my name is Pete… and I’m a miracle. 🐾

I shouldn’t be here to tell you my story. When Bahar – the angel who saved me – first laid eyes on me in North Cyprus, I was nothing but bones, a shadow of a dog. I had been abandoned, left alone to fade away, and I was so weak that I was ready to give up. My eyes were in a terrible state, my body skeletal. No one thought I could possibly still be alive. But Yeliz knelt beside me, wrapped me in her love, and whispered: “Hold on, Pete. Your story isn’t over. A better life is waiting for you.”

And somehow… I listened.

Thanks to Bahar and her fight for souls like me, along with a wonderful man called Jeremy who took me in and gave me a safe place to live, vets and the kindness of people who cared, I survived. I fought my way back because deep down I still believed there might be someone out there who could love me the way I was meant to be loved from the start.

I do have something called Leishmaniasis. I know, it sounds scary – but please don’t scroll past me because of that. With simple daily medication (which the charity has promised to pay for all my life 💕), I can live a long, joyful life. In fact, one of our beloved rescues, Suzy, who was our very own charities Chairman’s rescue had Leishmaniasis too – and she lived until ‘nineteen years old’, happily chasing rooks in fields right until her final two weeks. Doesn’t that sound like a life worth living?

Now, let me tell you a little secret about me… I’m a pointer, but I have a very unusual hobby. I love cats! Don’t tell the other pointers, but I think they’re hilarious little creatures – I’d rather curl up next to a cat than chase one. (I know, shocking!)

What I dream of now is simple: a warm bed, a family who will stroke my soft ears, someone to laugh at my cat-loving ways, and a forever home where I’ll never, ever feel unwanted again.

I am Pete – a survivor, a lover, a gentle soul who still believes in miracles. And maybe… just maybe… *you* are mine.

Please, open your heart to me. I promise, if you choose me, I’ll spend the rest of my life proving just how special I am. Because I don’t just need a home – I need ‘you’. ❤️
