Tucker

Hello, my name is Tucker – though most of my friends call me “Goofball,” “Goodl Lookin,” or sometimes just, “Not the ball again, Tucker!”

I was born in Rhodes and came to the UK as a tiny pup with my best pal Barney and my real brother, thanks to Auntie Lorna and Diane – two wonderful hoomans, who wanted to give us a better life. Thanks to their devotion we found our forever family. And oh, how forever it felt. I have been cherished, loved, and adored every single day. I’ve never once gone to bed without a cuddle, or woken up without my mum smiling at me.

But sometimes love does the hardest things. Through no fault of mine or theirs, my family has had to make the heartbreaking decision to let me go through tragic circumstances. My mum has told me this isn’t because she loves me less, but BECAUSE she loves me ‘so much’. She wants me to have the future I deserve – so I continue to have a life full of play, joy, and waggy-tailed happiness.

Now, let me tell you a little secret about me… I am ‘ball-obsessed’. Truly. If life could be made up of nothing but tennis balls and cuddles, I’d be the happiest dog on earth. You throw it, I’ll chase it. You hide it, I’ll find it. You ‘forget’ it’s there? Don’t worry, I’ll remind you. I’m goofy and silly and I’ll probably make you laugh when I skid across the grass like a cartoon character. My heart is big, my paws are sometimes clumsy, but everything about me says: “Let’s play, then snuggle.”

Leaving my special Mum breaks my heart. But she has promised me – and I believe her – that my story isn’t over. My next chapter is out there, waiting for me with open arms, kind voices, and maybe… just maybe… another ball (or twelve).

And there’s something else. I have a real brother called ‘Barney’, who is also looking for his new home through Pointer Rescue. If there’s any chance we could stay together, two brothers side by side, it would mean the WORLD to BOTH of us. But whether together or apart, what matters most is finding a family who will love me for the goofy, ball-obsessed cuddlebug that I am.

So, if you have room in your heart (and your garden for a tennis ball or two), maybe I could be your boy. I promise I’ll fill your days with laughter, loyalty, and love – and I’ll never, ever let you forget where you left the ball.
