Hi there, my name is Ummi, and this is my story… 🐾

For most of my life, I was just your average happy family dog. I had my own bed (well, okay, I *shared* Dad’s), toys that squeaked, long walks, and most of all—I had love. My Dad and I were *so* close. I’d wait at the door for him every day, tail wagging like a helicopter. We did everything together. He was my world.

But then… life changed.

Dad lost his job. Things got hard, and he was told he had to move far away. The rules where he lives meant he couldn’t take me—not even to a government shelter. The idea of being all alone in a scary place broke both our hearts. He cried when he thought his only option left was to help me cross the rainbow bridge. But he loved me too much to let that be the end.

So… he asked for help.  He was running out of precious time.

A single Facebook post was shared across charities, networks, and kind hearts—*and something incredible happened.* People cared. They shared. They hoped. And because of them, because of *you*… I was saved.

And now, the best part—*I have a new home waiting for me next week!* I’m going to live with a lovely lady named Jenny and her amazing family, someone known and loved by the Pointer Rescue Service. She’s been a friend to other pups like me, and now… I get to be part of her family too. ❤️

I can’t wait for belly rubs, slow walks, treats I probably didn’t earn, and—most of all—*cuddles on the sofa with Mum.* I’ll rest my head on her lap and finally, finally feel safe again.

My story could have ended differently. But thanks to love, community, and compassion—it didn’t. I’m one of the lucky ones.

Please… if you can, open your heart to rescue dogs like me. There are so many still waiting, still hoping. Let’s help them find their sofa, too. 💕
