🐾 Meet Zoe: The Sweetheart Who Needs Your Patience

Hi, my name is Zoe, and alongside my best friend Cooper, I was recently rescued from a scary situation. We were saved from a pound near Cordoba in Spain, and I’m not sure what our life was like before that, but it wasn’t easy. The world feels very big and loud right now, and I’m just starting to figure out what safety means.

Whispering My Feelings 🥺

I’m going to be completely honest: I am very frightened. The volunteers can see it when my tail tucks right down- that’s how I show how nervous I am, especially when people are too close. When our knight in shining armour, Antonio collected us, I was clearly terrified, and even now, loud noises or sudden movements make me jump.

But here’s the thing: my heart is still open. I can be touched, and while I’m cautious, I am also very curious. When I’m safe in my kennel, I start to observe everything. The wonderful people looking after me, Mauro and Isabel, are working so gently to help me realise that they are friends, not foes. They say that some of us just need a little longer to trust, and that’s okay.

A Future Full of Wagging Tails ✨

I’m estimated to be about five years old, and I have so much love waiting to come out. I’ve seen my friend Cooper starting to relax (he even enjoys a stroke now!), and I know I can get there too. The volunteers believe I will be a lovely dog once my confidence blossoms, and they even put me in with a lovely, happy male dog to show me how great life can be!

What I need is someone who understands that my fear isn’t a lack of love—it’s just a reflection of my past. I need a home where my new family can give me space, time, and quiet reassurance. If you have endless patience and a gentle spirit, I promise that one day soon, my tucked tail will start to rise, and my curiosity will turn into joyful exploration. I just need you to show me the world is a wonderful, not scary, place.

Could you be the calm anchor my heart is searching for?

Love,

Zoe x
