👋 Hello… I’m Beautiful Amber 🐾

I’m just a young girl, barely over a year old, and I’ve already had to learn how to be incredibly brave. For a whole month, I was completely on my own, wandering as a stray in a village called Vrysoulles. Some kind people noticed me and tried so hard to catch me, but I was just too terrified to let anyone touch me. I would come close enough for the food they left out because I was so hungry but fear always kept me just out of reach.

Eventually, the wonderful rescue team stepped in with a safe trap, and because I was so tired of being scared and alone, I went right in.

When I first arrived at Merlin’s Haven Dog Rescue, I was very timid. The world felt so big and loud, and human hands were something I didn’t yet understand. But I’ve been with my lovely rescue family for a few months now, and guess what? I am learning that people mean comfort, safety, and love. My confidence is growing every single day.

I’m a Pointer which means:
✨ I have a naturally gentle heart and an incredibly sweet soul.
✨ I love exploring the world and am currently doing really well with my lead training.
✨ I’m a sensitive girl who thrives on patience, gentle reassurance, and kindness.

Because big groups of dogs can still feel a bit daunting and overwhelming for me right now, I would love a calm, peaceful home where I can settle at my own pace. I can absolutely live with another friendly dog who can show me the ropes and help me see that the world isn’t a scary place anymore.

I am a true “blank canvas.” I haven’t mastered house-training just yet, but I am so eager to please and ready to learn everything a beloved family pet needs to know.

I’ve spent the start of my life watching from the shadows, wanting to trust but being too afraid. Now, I’m stepping into the light. I am so ready for a soft bed of my own, regular meals that I never have to search for, and a family who will look at me with nothing but love.

I’m scheduled to step onto the **July transport** to find my forever family. I might start off a little shy, but with a bit of patience, I promise to give you my whole heart and absolute devotion for the rest of my days.
