Meet Cathy: A Survivor Searching for Love 🐾

Hello there. My name is Cathy, and I’m here to tell you a little about myself in the hope that you might open your heart and home to a dog like me.

I haven’t had the easiest start to life. I was kept locked away and used for breeding, never knowing the gentle touch of a kind hand or the joy of running freely in the sunshine. But despite everything, my heart remains full of hope. I’ve overheard the stories of other dogs who’ve found loving homes with cozy sofas, warm blankets, and humans who make them feel like they truly belong. I dream of that every night – could it be with you?

I’m a very sweet, gentle soul who’s just starting to discover what life outside those walls can be. New sights and sounds can feel a little overwhelming sometimes, but with a kind and patient hooman by my side, I know I’ll blossom. I’m not a high-maintenance girl — I don’t ask for much, just a soft bed, a full tummy, gentle reassurance, nice walks and lots and lots of love.

One thing you should know about me is that I don’t like being left alone. After everything I’ve been through, being by myself can feel scary. I would love a home where someone is around most of the time, or maybe even a calm, confident doggy friend to keep me company. I’m very good with other dogs and would be so happy to have a furry sibling to share my days with.

Sadly, my journey to finding a forever home hasn’t been smooth. A wonderful family was all set to adopt me — they were just perfect for me — but due to an unexpected operation, they had to make the heartbreaking decision to postpone bringing a new dog into their lives. So now, I’m back with my amazing foster dad, who is giving me extra cuddles while I wait for my special someone to find me.

If you look at my photos, you’ll spot a lovely lady in red — that’s Sarah, one of the amazing rescue angels from Spain who helped save me. She’s a very special friend of our charity. On a recent trip to the UK, Sarah made sure to visit me and shower me with cuddles. It made my heart so happy to see her again.

I’ve come such a long way already, but now I just need someone to believe in me and offer me the love I’ve been waiting for all my life. I dream of peace, security, and a family who will cherish me for the wonderful girl I am.

At night, I love to curl up in a cozy spot where I can feel safe, and when you’re near, my tail can’t help but wag — even after everything, it still remembers how to.

P.S. I recently went shopping with my foster Dad and loved saying hello to everyone and also to one of social clubs… I was the star of the show! I adore people and would love a home where my hoomans don’t have to leave me behind too often.
