🐾 Hi there, my name is Luna… and I’m ready to be your best friend. 🐾

If you are looking for a girl who embodies both grace and resilience, then I think we should talk. I’m Luna, and while I’ve had a few twists and turns in my journey recently, my foster mummy says I am a “total sweetheart” who just needs the right environment to let my best self shine.

I’m an affectionate girl who truly loves the company of humans. Whether it’s snoozing on a heated cushion, curling up on the sofa for a movie night, or “doggy-piling” for a cuddle with my foster family, I am at my happiest when I’m close to my people. I’ve even been told I have a very special, “wiggly” happy dance when it’s time for breakfast!

✨ My Journey & Progress

I’ve spent the last few months in a wonderful foster home, and I’ve shown everyone just how much potential I have when life has a bit of structure and routine.

• A Social Butterfly: I’m a star on my walks! I’m really friendly with people and other dogs. Even when faced with “grumpy” little dogs, I just walk past calmly without an issue. I’m even learning my “leave it” command when I find interesting bits of rubbish on the path!

• A Gold Star for Manners: I am a very bright girl who responds beautifully to gentle reminders. I’ve learned that “paws off the table” is the rule, and I’m very responsive to being told where to sit on the sofa. I’ve even mastered waiting my turn for healthy treats like carrots alongside my foster brothers!

• The Brave Adventurer: I’m a great traveller in the car. I recently went to a pub quiz and was a total pro -I settled down and went straight to sleep. I’m also getting much braver; I used to be scared of the shower, but with a little “emotional support” from my foster brother, I handled it like a star.

•  I recently visited a busy local parkrun; I was a little nervous about the big crowds at first, but with some gentle words and a bit of reassurance, I did just fine. Loud vehicles don’t bother me at all.

• Fast & Focused: While I ignore birds and cats when we are out and about, I did show my foster brothers exactly how fast I am when I chased a squirrel out of the garden!

• A Voice of My Own: I very rarely bark, but when I do, I have a very distinctive, beautiful “baying” sound that lets you know I have something important to say!

🏡 What I Need to Thrive

Because I’m a sensitive soul, I’m looking for a specific kind of home where I can feel completely secure and continue my great progress.

• An Adult-Only Sanctuary: In the past, I struggled a little with boundaries around food and space. However, since I’ve “got with the programme” in my foster home, I haven’t shown these behaviours in weeks. To keep me feeling safe and successful, I’m looking for an adult-only home where life is predictable and calm.

• Routine is Key: I thrive on a steady schedule. Knowing when mealtimes are and having a consistent “last wee” routine in the evening has helped me settle perfectly. I already know exactly which cupboard my lead is kept in, and I get so excited when it opens!

• A Sun-Worshipper’s Paradise: I absolutely love the garden! If I had my way, I’d stay out in the sun all day long (though I have a little pink nose that needs a bit of shade now and then). When it’s rainy or windy, though, you’ll find me tucked up warm inside with you.

I’ve traveled a long way to find my “forever,” and even though there’s been a bump in the road, I know my perfect match is out there. I have so much love to give, a heart that’s ready to heal, and a very impressive “long” nap pose to show you!
