🐾 Gracie: The Little Pointer with a Heart of Pure Grace
Hello! My name is Gracie. I’m a small Pointer mix (just 11kg), and I’ve been told I’m the perfect size to fit right onto your lap. I am a happy, sweet-natured girl who simply doesn’t have a bad bone in her little body.
I’ve spent the last two years in a wonderful foster home with my amazing carer, Sertap. I’ve grown from a “little one” without a name into a confident, playful girl. I am a gentle soul who just wants to be part of the family, offering chin nudges and loyal companionship to anyone who will have me.
💖 A Bond and a Promise
For a long time, I was a quiet girl in the background, but then I met Gabriel. He’s another rescue who was nursed back to health, and we have become absolute inseparable best friends. We have so much fun together, playing and keeping each other’s spirits high.
Gabriel is now getting ready to jet off to his new life in the UK, and my rescuers made a promise to me: they won’t leave me behind. They couldn’t bear to see me stay here knowing my best friend was starting his new chapter without me. While we are looking for our own separate forever families, it would be a dream come true if I could find a home near him so we might even get to have a reunion one day!
✨ My Brave Journey
My life began with a bit of a bumpy start. I was in a car accident over a year ago that left me with no feeling in my front left paw. But if you met me, you’d see it hasn’t stopped me from living a happy, playful life in the slightest!
I have learned to cope so well that I can run, jump, and climb just like any other dog. I am a very energetic, lively girl, and the vets have decided I don’t need any surgery because I’m already living my best life exactly as I am. I’m just a little bit “special,” but I have twice the heart to make up for it.
🏡 What You Need to Know About Me
* A True Family Dog: I have lived with young children and I am great with cats! I love everyone I meet, though I might give a happy little bark to greet you and tell you how excited I am to see you.
* Leash Ready: I know how to walk on a leash! I do get a little excited sometimes and like to pull a bit—I’m just so eager to see the world with you.
* A Cozy Homebody: Since I’ve lived in a foster home for two years, I’m used to the comforts of a house. I might need a little patience as I learn the routine of a brand-new home in the UK, but I’m a quick learner who just wants to please.
* A Small Request: Because I’ve known what it’s like to be hungry in the past, I appreciate having my own quiet space to eat my dinner. I might give a little growl if I think someone is going to take my food, but it’s just my way of saying “this is delicious, please let me enjoy it!”
I’ve spent 700 days waiting for my turn. I’ve watched others find their homes, and now, with my bags packed and a promise kept by my rescuers, I’m hoping it’s finally my time to find a lap of my own.
With hope and gentle tail-wags,
Gracie x
