Hi👋  there! I’m Kovi, and I’ve been busy learning how to be a “home dog” in my wonderful foster placement. I’ve discovered that life indoors is actually pretty great – especially if there’s a sofa involved. Or two. Or a wood burner.

I’m a 5-year-old Pointer with a heart of gold and a brain that’s always ticking. My foster mum calls me a “gentle giant” and a “big baby” around the house. I’m a shadow dog and I love to follow you around (yes, even to the bathroom!) just to see what you’re up to. I’ve also become a world-class cuddler; if you’re sitting down, I’ll likely be using you as a pillow.

What I’ve Learned Lately:

• The Great Outdoors: I finally know what grass feels like under my paws! I love to run free, but I do have a prey drive. If I see a squirrel or a deer, my “Pointer” instincts kick in and I might forget my name for a minute.

• Door Skills: I’m a clever lad. If you have lever-style door handles, you’d better lock them, or I might just let myself out for an adventure!

• Foodie Manners: I used to be a bit nervous and very interested in human plates, but I’ve learned to be a polite boy. I love my kibble (especially a “kibble scatter” in the garden) and I’m a big fan of raw carrots.

• Social Life: I’m great with other dogs and very polite when sharing space. I love meeting new people and children. I recently met a 5-year-old and was very happy to be showered with affection! I’m always the star of the show on walks because I’m so handsome.

• My Sense of Humour: I’ve started showing my silly side! I like to “steal” small things like socks or gardening gloves. I don’t hide them, though – I just want you to see me so we can have a little game.

• Toy Time: My first thought every morning is to go find my toy. My foster brother Raffa recently “killed” the squeak in my favourite one, but being the chilled-out lad I am, I didn’t mind one bit!

🏡 My Ideal Forever Home:

I’m looking for an active family who understands my strength. I’m a powerful boy on the lead and I’m still working on my “recall” – sometimes the world is just too exciting to come back right away! I’d love a home with a very secure garden and someone who is happy to continue my training.

I’m a quick learner, a quiet house guest, and I have so much loyalty to give. I’ve settled into a routine beautifully and I’m just waiting for the right person to share my “sofa time” with forever.
