🌟 Lottie: The Clever Beauty Ready for Her Fresh Start
Hello! My name is Lottie. I am a stunning young girl – likely a mix of a Pointer and a Doberman which means I am the perfect blend of brains, beauty, and athletic energy. I was found fending for myself in January, and while my start in life was a bit rocky, I am so ready to find a family who will never let me feel abandoned again.
I am a “Super Learner.” I’m very sociable with people once I know I can trust you, and though I can be a little timid at first, that quickly melts away into a wagging tail and a desire to be your best friend.
✨ My Journey & Progress
Life in a busy local government shelter was very scary for a young girl like me. The noise and barking were overwhelming, but thanks to the pound ladies especially, I’ve shown everyone just how resilient I am.
-
A Proven Sweetheart: I recently had a visit with a family, and I was absolutely fabulous! I showed off my gentle nature with teenage girls and was perfectly comfortable and friendly with both the mum and dad. I’m a social butterfly who just wants to be part of the group.
-
Star Student: I am incredibly intelligent. I already know how to “sit” and I will politely offer you my paw for a treat. I even have a 10/10 rating on my recall! In an enclosed area, I come running straight back the moment I’m called.
-
The Snuffle Mat Queen: I can get a bit “zoomie” when I’m excited to see you, but I’ve learned to settle beautifully. If you give me a snuffle mat, I’ll focus my brain, find my treats, and then calm right down for some quiet time.
-
Out and About: I am a dream on the lead! Traffic doesn’t bother me at all, and I am at my happiest when I’m exploring the world with you.
🏡 What I Need to Thrive
I have been in the shelter for a while now, and I am looking for a “forever safe” home where I can finally decompress.
-
My Size: I am a tall, leggy girl with a slim, athletic build. I weigh approximately 25–30kg, so I’m looking for a family who appreciates a slightly larger, elegant companion.
-
Company is Key: I have a very sweet side and I’m not a fan of being left alone for long periods. I would thrive with a family who works from home or is retired – someone who wants a loyal companion by their side.
-
A Place to Play: I’m an active girl, so a home with a secure outside space is a must. I’d love a garden where I can safely explore, sniff, and run around!
-
Space to Learn: I am very clean and always use my outside run to go to the toilet. In a home with a regular routine, my clever brain will pick up house training in no time.
-
The Only Apple of Your Eye: For now, I need to be the only dog in the home. The shelter environment can make us dogs a little bit nervous, so I need a space where I don’t have to worry about other pets while I settle in. It’s very likely they will become my friends once I’ve learnt to trust them.
-
Family Life: While I am still a bit bouncy, my successful meet-and-greet showed that I am wonderful with teenagers and adults. I’d love a home where we can focus on my training and adventures with gentle leadership.
I’ve been waiting undiscovered for a while now, but I know my person is out there. If you have a heart for a sensitive, intelligent girl who just wants to belong, I promise to be the most wonderful companion you could ask for.
Love and hopeful wags,
Lottie x
