Hello hoomans, my name is Boomer– and I need to tell you something important…

I’m just 8 months old – basically a big bouncy baby – with the zoomies in my legs and love bursting out of my heart. I adore cuddles, snuggles, belly rubs, and ear scratches. I’m great with children but I am playful so would be better matched to slightly older children (they match my energy!) and I’m always up for an adventure – long walks, car rides, new smells… count me in!

But I need your help. Really, really need it.

You see, I’ve got a little stump for a tail. It’s not my fault – a hooman did it to me before I could even say “woof.” It hurt. And it wasn’t kind. But now, because of a law that’s being passed in the UK, dogs like me with docked tails might not be allowed into the country at all. Even though I’m just a happy, wiggly pup who wants a forever home, my chances could disappear… all because of something someone else did to me.

That’s why I’m scared.
Scared the doors to a better life will shut before I even get the chance to wag what’s left of my tail for real love.

Pointer Rescue has been saving dogs like me since 1973 – yes, that’s a LOT of tail wags! Their volunteers don’t give up. Not on us. They scoop us up from sadness and fight for our futures. Just like they’re fighting for mine right now. But they need hoomans like YOU to see me. Really see me.

Look past my little docked tail and into my big brown eyes.
See the silly, cuddly, joyful me.
See the pup who dances when you walk in the room.
The one who curls up in your lap even when I grow up and I barely fit anymore.
The one who will love you with my whole heart (and wiggly bum) every single day.

Please don’t let my story end before it begins. I’ve got so much life to live, so many adventures to chase, and so much love to give.
