Hello, my name is Petra! 🐾💖

I’m a two-year-old pointer girl, born in Istanbul, Turkey. My story started in a horrid hard place when I was abandoned, but then something magical happened… an angel named Mehlika, who is also a kind vet, scooped me up and gave me the chance at a brand-new life. Right now, I’m safe and loved in her home, being fostered by her wonderful family, and I’m learning what it means to belong and receive the love that I have always deserved.

I’m a gentle soul with the happiest heart. My favourite thing in the whole world? Cuddles! I love curling up close to my hoomans, resting my head on their laps, and giving soft little kisses. I don’t just receive cuddles—I’m an expert at giving them too.   (Expert cuddler!)  People say I’m special because when I’m really happy, its like I am really smiling (yes, a real smile with my whole face and tail!).

But don’t let my snuggle bug side fool you—I’m also full of joy and energy! I love long walks, hikes, and adventures in the fresh air. Exploring the world with my hoomans makes my tail wag nonstop.  A bit like a helicopter!  I’ve even been introduced to fun new experiences like sitting at cafés and restaurants, and I’ve adapted beautifully. I’m polite, social, and always happy to meet new friends, both people and dogs.

Playtime makes me light up, but at the end of the day, I’m the kind of girl who will melt into your arms like a marshmellow and make you feel like the most loved person in the world.

I’ve already overcome so much, and now I’m dreaming of my furever family—a family that will take me on adventures, make me smile a lot in my new life, and snuggle me close at night. I promise I’ll give you more love than you could ever imagine.
