💙 Dana: The Elegant, Gentle Lady Starting Her “Good Life”

Hi, my name is Dana. I am a gentle licckle lady who has finally left a long, difficult past behind to embrace a future filled with warmth and love. For years, I was seen only for my “usefulness,” but today, I am learning what it feels like to be cherished just for being me.

I am a sensitive soul who has been through a lot lately, but I am finally safe, warm, and ready to find the forever family I’ve always deserved.

🏠 Latest Update: Safe and Snuggled Up

I officially arrived at Noah’s sanctuary! The journey here wasn’t easy; I arrived feeling heartbreakingly thin, shivering from the cold and the nerves of so much change. But the “working” days are officially over for me. 🙅‍♀️

I am now being showered with love by wonderful volunteers. I have my very own “Crimbo jumper” to keep me cozy, and I’m enjoying extra-special meals to help me regain my strength and weight. I’ve already been spayed and vaccinated, so now my only job is to rest, enjoy gentle walkies, and soak up all the TLC I can handle.

💔 My Story So Far…

For much of my life (I’m about 6.5 years old), I belonged to a hunter. When I was deemed “no longer of use” because I was hunt-shy, I was facing a frightening future at a local Spanish pound. Whether I was used for hunting or for breeding, I was ultimately treated as disposable.

Thankfully, kind hearts intervened just in time. I am no longer a tool or a worker; I am a survivor who is rediscovering her dignity one “gentle pointer paw shake” at a time.

I carry myself with a quiet grace, even after everything I’ve been through. While I am still settling in, my true personality will no doubt start to shine through the clouds.

• A Gentle Soul: I am incredibly sweet and sensitive. I respond beautifully to kindness and am already learning to trust the hands that feed and pet me.

• Quiet Elegance: I’m not looking for high-intensity work anymore. I want a life of quiet elegance, soft beds, and peaceful afternoons.

• Resilient Spirit: Despite arriving thin and nervous, I am brave. I am taking this transition step-by-step, moving toward a life where I can truly flourish.

🏡 What I Need to Thrive

I am looking for a calm, supportive “retirement” home where I can be a beloved family member.

• Patience and Nutrition: I need a family who will continue my journey of gaining weight and confidence, understanding that I may need a little extra time to fully blossom.

• A Soft Landing: My ideal home is a peaceful environment with a consistent routine and a very soft bed (to go with my new jumpers!).

• Cat Status: My team hasn’t had the chance yet to assess how I feel about feline friends to see if a home with cats would be a good fit for me.
