Age: 4 months old | Tiny paws, big dreams and a heart full of love!
My name is Domi, and I’m just a teeny-tiny four-month-old puppy with a whole lot of growing to do, lots of important puppy things to learn, and a VERY big dream tucked away inside my little heart. 💕
I’m dreaming of a family of my very own. A family who will teach me all about this big, wonderful world, who will help me grow into a happy, confident boy, and who will love me not just because I’m a cute little puppy, but because I’m their puppy. Furever and ever. 🐾❤️
But before I tell you all about my little puppy adventures, I need to tell you something about how my story began…
💔 My little beginning wasn’t very fair…
Somehow, I found myself in a government pound in Spain. Now, I’m only little, and I don’t really understand how the world works yet. I’m still learning what a comfy bed is, what toys are for, and why humans sometimes make such a wonderful fuss over me!
But even I think a government pound is a very scary place for a baby puppy like me.
At just four months old, I was so very vulnerable. Puppies like me need warmth, safety, proper food, and lots of care. Being left in a pound can be especially dangerous for such little ones, and sadly, not every puppy gets the chance to leave.
Thankfully, some very kind people from FMA spotted me, and their wonderful volunteers made sure I was rescued quickly. Oh, thank goodness someone saw little me! ❤️
I had developed bronchitis, which meant my little body needed some extra help. As soon as I was released from the pound and taken into safety, my treatment began.
I was given antibiotics to help fight the infection and the care I needed to start feeling better. Now, I’m only a little boy, so I can’t really spell antibiotics yet (I’m still working on not chewing everything I find! ), but I do know that, little by little, I started to feel better.
And do you know what else helped?
My lovely foster Mum!
She gave me cuddles, comfort, toys to play with and a safe place to rest my sleepy little head. I have been surrounded by kindness, and I’m doing okay in my loving foster home.
I think I rather like this being-loved business. I could definitely get used to it!
🎄 Now, about my forever home…
I know I’m awfully cute. I have puppy eyes, little paws, a whole lifetime of mischief ahead of me, and I’m sure I could melt a heart or two with just one head tilt.
But the lovely people at The Pointer Rescue Service (PRS) have asked me to be patient while they find the very best home for me.
You see, I’m due to arrive in the UK very soon, and PRS wants to make absolutely certain that my next chapter is everything a little boy like me deserves.
And because Christmas is coming, they are being extra careful.
Christmas can be a very exciting time, can’t it? Parties, visitors, noisy celebrations, presents everywhere, doors opening and closing, and lots of people coming and going. It all sounds rather overwhelming for a little puppy who is still learning about the world!
I don’t need a home full of Christmas chaos. I need a home full of kindness, consistency, patience and love. ❤️
PRS will only consider a quiet, settled home that is genuinely invested in what is best for me.
A home where I’m not a Christmas surprise, an impulse decision or a cute little puppy to enjoy while the novelty lasts.
I need someone who understands that puppies aren’t born knowing how to behave. I’ll need help with gentle socialisation, learning my name, getting used to new experiences, and discovering how to be a happy, well-adjusted dog. I am already toilet trained.
I might chew things I shouldn’t. I might have the odd little accident. I might wake up feeling playful just when you think it’s time for a nap! And I’ll need someone who can guide me kindly, without expecting me to grow up overnight.
After all, I’m only a baby.
What sort of family am I dreaming of?
I’m looking for a family who will put my needs first and understand that bringing home a puppy is a long-term commitment.
Because I’m so young, PRS will need to consider adopters within reasonable age limits who are fit and able to meet the demands of raising a puppy, now and as I grow into adulthood. We have to put our rescues first.
I’d also need someone who can be around for me during the day, especially while I’m settling in and learning how to feel safe in my new world. I’m not ready to spend long days home alone while everyone goes off to work.
I’ll need time, companionship, gentle training, appropriate exercise, plenty of rest and lots of positive experiences as I grow. My family must be ready to make me part of their everyday lives, not just their weekends.
And because I’m a Pointer puppy, my family should also be prepared to understand and meet the needs of my breed as I grow up, including my need for activity, mental stimulation, companionship and kind, consistent training.
I don’t need a perfect family. I just need the right one. ❤️
Someone who will celebrate my little milestones, laugh at my silly puppy antics, patiently help me through the tricky bits and promise that, whatever life brings, I will always belong.
My little Christmas wish…
I don’t know much about Christmas yet. I haven’t made a wish list, and I’m not entirely sure what a stocking is (although I’m willing to investigate one if it smells interesting!).
But if I could wish for just one thing, it wouldn’t be a mountain of presents.
It would be a very loving special home.
A warm bed where I can curl up after a busy day. A kind voice calling my name. Hands that stroke me gently. Toys that belong to me. A garden to explore safely, adventures to enjoy when I’m ready, and a family who will never make me wonder where I belong.
I want to grow up knowing that I am safe.
I want to learn what it means to be loved without conditions.
And one day, when I’m a big boy, I want to look back at the beginning of my little story and know that somebody cared enough to give me the chance I deserved.
The team at The Pointer Rescue Service are going to do everything they can to make that happen. They’ll carefully match me with a family who understands my needs and is ready to give me the very best start in life.
I’ve already had a difficult beginning, but my story doesn’t have to end there.
My story is only just beginning. 🐾❤️
So, if you’re dreaming of welcoming a puppy into your life, please remember little Domi. I’m four months old, full of potential, and ready to learn about the wonderful world I nearly didn’t get the chance to see.
I may be tiny, but I’ve got a whole lot of love waiting to grow.
All I need now is someone to grow with me.
Could you be my forever family?
With my tiniest paws and my biggest puppy kisses,
Little Domi 🐶💕
Rescued with love. Waiting for a lifetime of it.
🐾 A little note from The Pointer Rescue Service
Domi will be arriving in the UK very soon, and we are determined to find him a safe, loving and carefully matched forever home.
We are particularly mindful of placing puppies in the lead-up to Christmas. The festive season can bring extra visitors, parties, noise and disruption, so Domi will only be considered for a calm, settled household that can prioritise his needs.
Due to his young age, we are looking for adopters within reasonable age limits who can offer daytime companionship, patient puppy training and the time and commitment required to raise a young Pointer responsibly.
Domi’s early life has already been far more difficult than any puppy deserves. Now, we want his future to be filled with security, kindness and unconditional love.
If you feel you could offer Domi the home he deserves, please contact The Pointer Rescue Service to discuss our adoption process. ❤️🐾
