Hello, lovely hoomans!

My name is Flora, I have been in the UK for a long time now but I originally came from Spain and I’m a distinguished yet delightfully bouncy lady of approximately nine years old. That means I have all the wisdom of an experienced dog, but I still reserve the right to zoom around like a total puppy when the mood strikes.

Let’s talk about my vibe. During the day, I’m a confident, independent explorer of the house and garden. I like to check in, supervise your activities (from a respectable distance), and make sure all household affairs are in order. But when evening rolls around? Oh boy! That’s when I become a Grade-A Velcro Dog™. I just love to be near my people. Expect adoring gazes, gentle leaning, and maybe even some dramatic sighs if you stop petting me too soon.

I’m a social butterfly with humans of all sizes—grown-ups, kids, whoever. If you’re a person, I probably like you. Other dogs? Also a big yes, as long as we’re not in a tight space with food, because, well… let’s just say I take mealtime very seriously. (Who doesn’t?) Out in the world, I’m happy to meet and greet, though sometimes I get so excited that I bark about it first. It’s just my way of saying, “OH WOW, YOU LOOK FUN!”

Now, let’s address the bird situation. I have ambitions. Dreams, if you will. Birds are fascinating, and one day, I am convinced I will catch one. Has it happened yet? No. Have I successfully caught the occasional rat? Yes! (You’re welcome.) Cats? Uncertain. But if they move fast, I will chase them—just to keep them on their toes, of course.

As for walks, I love them. I also have a… shall we say… creative interpretation of “come back here right now.” I do have reasonable recall, but let’s just say I’ve been known to chase a seagull to the ends of the Earth if given the opportunity. (Freedom is exhilarating!) So, a lead is usually a good idea unless we’re in a safe, enclosed space.

One little quirk—I’m not the best road navigator. Because I live in a rural area, I have exactly zero road sense. If we’re near cars, I need you to be my traffic controller, please and thank you.

And the car itself? Listen. I love going places, but do I express that excitement by whining and barking on the way there? Yes. Do I settle down a bit on the way home, feeling content with my adventures? Also yes. It’s just my personal travel commentary—think of it as a lively in-car podcast, hosted by me.

So, if you’re looking for a dog who is equal parts affectionate, adventurous, quirky, and completely endearing, I might just be your girl. I promise to bring oodles of love, a dash of mischief, and possibly a seagull-chasing escapade or two.
