¡Hola, future best friend! 🐾

My name is Zena—though some people call me Gran Princesa because I’m big in size and even bigger in heart. 🇪🇸💛

I’ve just travelled from sunny Spain to this big, exciting (and sometimes a teensy bit scary) new country, and everything—from the smells on the breeze to the language in the park—feels different. My tail still wags like a metronome, but I could really use a loving hand to steady the rhythm of my brand‑new life.

A few of my favourite things

• Sun‑kissed naps on any blanket that pretends to be sand.
• Chasing butterflies (I never catch them; it’s purely a diplomatic mission).
• Learning new words—I already know “sit,” “stay,” and “¡vamos!” and I’m working on “brew time” because apparently that’s when British hoomans get biscuits.
• Snuggles so deluxe they should come with a marshmallow‑hot‑chocolate warning.

The adventure so far…

Back in Spain I didn’t always have a soft bed or my very own bowl, but wonderful rescue folks scooped me up, patched me, and stamped my little passport. I was so brave on the long drive north—ears perked, heart hopeful. Now I’m in kennels so I am confused and pretty sad but apparently a new case for the PRS (but I call it Pawsome Re‑start Station). Each night I dream someone scrolling will see my nose‑freckle selfie and whisper, “That’s the one.”

What I’m wishing for…

• A gentle hooman (or two!) who believes belly rubs are an art form.
• Patience while I swap siestas for rainy‑day walks. New countries can be a puzzle, and I might need an extra moment to piece them together.
• A lap that doesn’t mind souvenirs of Spanish sand—I swear it shows up in my fur like magic!

• To greet you every morning like you invented sunshine.
• To tuck my head under your chin when thunder growls.
• To be the most photogenic couch ornament you’ve ever owned—think warm‑hearted, four‑legged throw pillow, with bonus loyalty setting.

Big changes can make a rescue dog wobble, but I know that somewhere out there is my person—the one who’ll turn my detour into a forever‑home story. Could that be you?
