Meet Branston & Pickle – Two Pointers, One Unbreakable Bond and Enough Personality to Fill a Christmas Cracker!

Well, hello there! Have you got room on your sofa for two rather fabulous four-legged companions? Perhaps a little extra space in your heart? And, importantly, do you happen to have a quiet Christmas planned?

If so, we might just be the two little jars of joy you’ve been waiting for!

We’re Branston and Pickle, affectionately known as THE CHUTNEYS! And between you and us, we’re quite the double act. One part gentleman, one part mischief, two parts affection and a whole lot of waggy-tailed Pointer!

We’re best friends, partners in crime, professional sofa hoggers and each other’s absolute favourite person. We’ve been through life’s ups and downs together, and we’d really, really like our next adventure to be one we can take together too.

Yes, we’re a two-for-one deal, but please don’t let that put you off. We promise we’re worth every paw print!

💔 A little bit of our backstory…

Our story didn’t exactly start with a silver spoon and a comfy dog bed.

We were found abandoned in the Spanish campo, painfully thin and trying to survive in the countryside. It was a scary old world out there, but thankfully we had each other. We stuck together, looked after one another and did our very best until our wonderful rescuers came along.

Eventually, we made it to the UK and thought we’d found our very own happily-ever-after.

Sadly, life doesn’t always follow the script we’d hoped for.

It is with a broken heart that our present Mum, Amy, now has to make the incredibly difficult decision to give us up due to a change in her personal circumstances. This is through no fault of ours, and certainly not because Amy doesn’t love us. Sometimes life throws unexpected curveballs, and the kindest and most difficult decision can be to find the right new home for those you love.

So here we are again, looking for someone to make us a promise. Not a promise of Christmas presents, although we wouldn’t say no to a squeaky toy or two, but a promise of a safe, loving and permanent home.

We really would love this next chapter to be our last.

💙 BRANSTON – The Charming Chap, Professional Snuggler & King of the Sofa!

Hello, I’m Branston!

I’m the handsome, rather charming chap of the partnership. Apparently, I’m an charming soul, but I like to think of myself as a laid-back lad with excellent sofa etiquette (although I may occasionally forget to leave you any room).

I’m a total social butterfly and absolutely adore people. I’ve got a heart of gold, not a nasty bone in my body and a rather impressive talent for finding the comfiest spot in the house.

Cuddles? Absolutely.
A fuss? Don’t mind if I do.
A nice walk followed by a snooze? Now you’re talking!

I’ve spent a long time looking out for my best friend Pickle, but I think it’s about time someone looked after me for a change.

I’m a clever lad, already house-trained (I’ll even let you know when I need to go outside – good chap that I am!) and I enjoy meeting my doggy friends and having a good run around in secure fields.

All in all, I’m a lovely chap looking for a family who will appreciate my gentle nature, give me a little adventure and make sure my retirement from worrying about the world comes with plenty of cuddles!

PICKLE – Small Jar, BIG Personality!

Well, hello! I’m Ickle Pickle!

And yes, the name is rather appropriate. I’m a cheeky, curious, happy-go-lucky girl with a personality that is considerably bigger than my name suggests.

I’m a people-loving, affectionate little character who likes to be involved in absolutely EVERYTHING. If you’re sitting down, I’ll be there. If you’re watching television, I’ll be supervising. If you’re having a cuddle, I’ll probably be draped across you like a rather expensive designer scarf.

I do have a few little hobbies.

Window watching is a particular favourite. I’m excellent at neighbourhood surveillance and take my responsibilities very seriously.

I also have a rather adventurous streak. In fact, my foster notes might well describe me as a little bit of a Houdini! If there’s a way of investigating what’s on the other side of a fence, I’ll probably find it. So, my new family will need to be one step ahead of me, with secure fencing and sensible safety measures firmly in place.

I’m a clever girl, already house-trained and full of enthusiasm for life. I love my doggy socials, secure field adventures and all the fun things a young Pointer should enjoy.

I do need a little help with my recall and building confidence around car journeys, so kind training, patience and consistency are all on my Christmas wish list.

I’m basically a bundle of fun, affection and the occasional questionable decision!

🏡 Now, about our dream home…

We know we’re a bit of a special request. Two Pointers, two personalities and twice the muddy paw prints!

But we’re not looking for just ANY home. We’re looking for the RIGHT home.

And here’s a little Christmas wish from PRS…

Are you having a quiet Christmas this year?

Perhaps you’re not planning a house full of people, endless visitors, parties and festive chaos. Maybe you’re looking forward to a quieter festive season, with time to enjoy some lovely countryside walks, a little fresh air and the company of two very grateful dogs.

That could be absolutely perfect for us!

Our ideal family would have:

💙 Lots of TIME: Someone who is home for much of the day, works from home or has the time to make us a proper part of their everyday life. We’re affectionate dogs who love human company and need time to settle and bond.

💙 Walking boots at the ready: We’re active Pointers and need plenty of healthy exercise, sniffing adventures, interesting walks and opportunities to stretch our legs. A quick trip around the block isn’t quite going to cut the mustard (or should that be the chutney?).

💙 Kindness and a little patience: We’re clever cookies, but there’s still some learning to do. We’d love a family who enjoys training and understands that kindness, consistency and positive encouragement are the way to our hearts.

💙 A little more countryside, please: A rural home with plenty of space would be wonderful. Secure surroundings are essential, though, especially as Miss Pickle has apparently been studying for her Houdini diploma. Secure fencing and sensible management are a must!

💙 A little Pointer know-how: Breed experience would be a lovely bonus. We’re intelligent, energetic, affectionate dogs and need a family who understands what makes us tick.

💙 Forever means FOREVER: Above everything else, we need stability. Someone who wants to invest time, love and commitment into giving us a secure future. We’ve had enough changes, thank you very much!

Are we good with children?

Oh yes! We are both absolutely brilliant and affectionate with children, and we have lots of lovely evidence of just how sweet we can be.

For safeguarding and privacy reasons, PRS cannot share photographs or videos featuring children.

For our next home, however, we would recommend a family where children visit rather than children living in the household full-time. This isn’t because we don’t like children – quite the opposite! It’s simply about making sure we have the time, attention and opportunity to settle in and have our individual needs properly met.

We want our new family to have the time to enjoy getting to know us and helping us become the very best versions of ourselves.

🎄 Our Christmas wish? Just ONE thing…

A home. Together.

We know that asking someone to welcome two dogs rather than one is a bigger commitment. We understand that finding our perfect match might take a little longer.

But we’re not just two dogs who happen to live together. We’re two best friends who have been there for each other through some pretty difficult times.

Branston has been my rock, and I’ve probably kept him on his toes (and possibly tested his patience) along the way!

We share a very special bond, and PRS would dearly love to find us a home where we can continue life’s adventures side by side.

We don’t need a mansion, a designer dog bed or a Christmas stocking filled with expensive treats (although, if you’re offering…).

We just need someone who has the time to love us, the patience to guide us, the understanding to meet our needs and the commitment to make sure we never have to start again.

So, if your Christmas is looking a little quieter this year, perhaps you have room for two extra stockings on the fireplace?

We could bring the Branston and Pickle to your Christmas dinner… although we suspect you might prefer us to stay out of the kitchen!
